Most rappers from his region struggle getting their time to shine but this Young Music Artist from St. Louis, MO has big dreams and plans to change the whole rap game when his voice is heard. Joey Cash, 17, is different from many artists in music today. His choice of lyrics & beats, versatility, and aggressive style proves this statement. As you listen to more than one song from Joey, you will witness styles of Hip Hop, R&B, and Pop, including songs about love, personal life, and everyday struggles, as well as fun and hype club hits. No matter what this young artist is rapping about, he is sure to add punchlines(Similes & Metaphors), wherever possible to spice up the song and keep the listeners attention.
For the past 10 years, Joey Cash has written in notebooks, notepads, and journals filled with songs, lyrics, and poems. If you do the math, that means he has been writing since the very young age of 7. Around this time artists like Nelly, Master P, Cash Money/Big Tymers, Nas, 50 Cent, Ludacris, and Bow Wow were in the spotlight. Speaking of these artists, Bow Wow & the members of Cash money were his very first influences/inspirations. "Seeing a young dude(Bow Wow) on TV having a lot of fun, around money and girls that seemed to love him, just inspired me to be like that", said Joey. Since then, he has been dedicated to making music and actually started recording his own songs in studios at the age of 13. At the start of his freshman year in High school, Cash came into some money after a car crash he was in, and invested in his own studio where he would eventually create his first Mixtape, entitled "Beast Turnt Monsta!". This is also around the same time he picked up the name, "Joey Cash". It was when his older brother Joey Debuque Jr., passed away in a tragic shooting, so he wanted to acknowledge him in the biggest way possible. Later on, he added the "Cash", because it is another thing he loves dearly.
Today, Joey Cash is performing at local venues, having professional photo shoots and music videos done, and being featured in magazines. He is also still in the studio as much as he can be, while juggling his education and a part time job. At the moment, Joey is pushing and promoting his Debut Single, "ATM", and hoping to put together the best Mixtape that anyone has ever heard from an independent artist, which is the reason it has been taking an abundant amount of time to complete. "Believe me when I say, This will not be the last time you hear from me! I'm Coming at these Rappers with FULL FORCE! Just Watch out for me."
